Women's History Month: Rev. Lachelle Dixon-Harris

Throughout March, the Cleveland Baptist Association is celebrating the women pastors faithfully serving our churches and communities.

Rev. Lachelle Marie Dixon-Harris is a proclaimer of the Gospel, Christian educator, coach, and servant leader with more than 30 years of experience in ministry, instructional leadership, and organizational development. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of four and has faithfully served in the Kingdom of God throughout her life. In addition to her ministry calling, she served for more than 30 years in elementary education as a teacher, teacher leader, and founding principal, dedicating her career to the development of students, educators, and school communities.


Throughout her years of service, she has remained deeply committed to equipping the saints, developing leaders, and strengthening the body of Christ through the faithful teaching and proclamation of the Word of God. Rev. Dixon-Harris is known for her ability to equip, educate, encourage, and empower individuals and ministry leaders through preaching, teaching, mentoring, and leadership development.


Her ministry reflects a unique blend of ministry experience and educational expertise, creating transformative learning environments where faith is nurtured, leaders are developed, and believers are encouraged to live out their calling with purpose and integrity. Rev. Dixon-Harris graduated from John Hay High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Ursuline College and holds state certification as an elementary principal in the state of Ohio. Her passion for both education and ministry led her to pursue theological training at Ashland Theological Seminary, where she earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry with concentrations in Homiletics and Christian Education. Through both her academic preparation and her years of ministry experience, she remains committed to teaching the Word of God with clarity, depth, and practical application for everyday Christian living.


Rev. Dixon-Harris faithfully served on the ministerial staff of Triumphant Living Ministries under the leadership of Rev. Gina Moore. She is also the founder of LIVE - Live In Victory Everyday, a para ministry dedicated to empowering, equipping, educating, and encouraging believers as they grow in their relationship with Christ and walk faithfully in their God-given purpose.


Rev. Dixon-Harris has faithfully served on the ministerial staff of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Earl C. Simpson. Through her service in ministry, she has devoted herself to preaching, teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, and the spiritual formation of believers.


In addition to her ministry service, Rev. Dixon- Harris is currently employed by the Ministers Council of the American Baptist Churches USA, where she supports the work of strengthening, encouraging, and connecting clergy leaders across the country. In addition to serving nationally, she remains actively engaged in the local Greater Cleveland Ministers Council chapter, and she also serves on the board of the Cleveland Baptist Association.

Above all, Rev. Dixon-Harris’s greatest desire is to maintain a vibrant and fruitful relationship with Christ and to flourish in the power of His might so that she may faithfully proclaim and teach the Word of God in ways that bring healing, growth, restoration, and spiritual transformation to all whom God allows her to serve.
