CBA’s commitment to young people is further demonstrated through the Youth Empower Program (YEP) , a nonprofit initiative CBA's commitment to young people shines through the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP), a nonprofit initiative dedicated to serving children and youth by fostering their holistic development.
YOUTH & CHILDREN'S MINISTRY LEADER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
This program equips youth and children’s ministry leaders to effectively disciple the next generations, which strengthens both the church and the wider community.
TRAINING MODULES
Participants will be trained by ministry experts across 12 key modules, ensuring that young people in Greater Cleveland have access to some of the most impactful, Christ-centered discipleship opportunities anywhere. Cohort 1 begins fall of 2025 and concludes in January 2027.

PROGRAM COST
Thanks to the support of the CBA funding partners and a grant from the American Baptist Home Mission Society (ABMHS), the July 2025 Informational Session and August 2025 Intensive Training were free and open to all ministry leaders. The full certification program that follows is offered at no cost to youth and children’s ministry leaders serving in CBA Covenant Churches. Ministry leaders from churches outside the CBA are warmly invited to participate for a modest, tiered registration fee that reflects the program’s value and depth. Empowering Generations’ Program Objectives
The CBA is proud to launch "Empowering Generations: Creating Transformative Spaces for Children & Youth" an initiative that is well-aligned with the mission and priorities of the American Baptist Home Mission Societies. This transformative project aims to foster environments where young people can thrive, grow, and lead within their churches and communities.
